I have hooked the cable box to my Slingbox AV with both the RCA video and S-Video connections. I even unhooked my DVI-out. Regardless I've been unable to get the menus/guides ect. to show up on screen. Is there a workaround for this or am I SOL?
Make sure you are NOT on an HD channel when you press the button for the menu or the guide.
The Motorola boxes do NOT put out the menus, guide, etc on the S-video and composite connections when it's on an HD channel.
Workaround is to switch to a non-HD channel before you call up the menu/guide/etc. Works for me on my 6412 Motorola (even if it is on Comcast, not Cox).

United StatesI'll also add that in order for that particular workaround to function, the 6412 4:3 override must be set to 480i.
Press menu when the cable box is off and bring up the user settings menu. Set your component output to the appropriate HD res, and the 4:3 override to 480i. This way, If you're watching a digital channel through your slingbox, but want to bring up the guide, call up an analog station on the remote.
