I've found common error messages at the Sling Player Set-Up or Play, I wanted to post them just as reference for any1, they can also be found on the Help File.

SlingPlayer Help - Error Messages

Error code 0x80004004

Error message: Unable to stream from the Slingbox. The connection to the Slingbox may have been lost. Please check your network settings. The error occurs when configuring the Slingbox for remote viewing in the Setup Wizard.

Causes

  • A port is not opened on the router.
  • Port forwarding is not working properly.
  • Firewall settings are not configured properly.

Solutions

Close the Setup Wizard by clicking on the Finish button and then try to run the Wizard again. If the problem is not solved, try the following:
  • Open a port on your router and then run the Setup Wizard. See this article for information on Port Forwarding: LINK.
  • If you are using firewall software, configure it to allow connections to and from the Slingbox. See this article for information: LINK.
  • If you are using more than one router, follow the instructions outlined in this article to open ports on both routers: LINK.

Error code 0x92340068

Error message: Unable to connect to the Slingbox. Please check your network connection and/or your password. The error occurs when trying to access the SlingPlayer Properties Information tab.

Causes

  • Entering an incorrect password for your Slingbox.
  • Network settings have changed.

Solutions

The Slingbox offers two levels of password protection. The first one allows you to view your Slingbox, while the Administrator password is used to change the Slingbox settings. Ensure you have entered the appropriate Administrator password.

Also, review any changes you made on the local network. If you are trying to access the Slingbox from a remote location, make sure you have made necessary changes to the firewall settings. For information on accessing your Slingbox from behind a firewall, refer to this article: LINK.

Error code 0x9234006E

Error message: Your Slingbox is unable to communicate with the Slingbox Finder, or you entered an incorrect Finder ID. Please check your ID and make sure Remote Viewing for your Slingbox is enabled, and check your home network and router connections. The error occurs when you try to access your Slingbox remotely.

Causes

  • Using an invalid Slingbox Finder ID.
  • A firewall or router setting is preventing the connection to the Slingbox Finder.
  • Remote Viewing is not enabled for the Slingbox.

Solutions

  • Make sure that the Slingbox Finder ID is correct. See this article for information on how to locate the Slingbox Finder ID: LINK.
  • Configure the firewall to allow connections to the Slingbox Finder.
  • Make sure Remote Viewing is enabled for the Slingbox.
  • If all else fails, try to connect using an IP address instead of the Slingbox Finder ID. See this article for instructions: LINK.

Error code 0x93250002

Error message: Unable to stream from the Slingbox. The connection to the Slingbox may have been lost. Please check your network settings. The error occurs when trying to stream from your Slingbox, either locally or remotely.

Causes

  • The Internet connection has been lost.
  • Changes were made to the network settings.
  • A wireless connection is dropped or the signal strength deteriorates.

Solutions

  • Ensure that the network/Internet connection is up and running.
  • Review any network changes that you made and ensure that the cables are firmly plugged into the Slingbox inputs.
  • If your Wi-Fi signal is low, move closer to the Wi-Fi router/access point.
  • If all else fails, disconnect and reconnect to the Slingbox.

Error code 0x9325004

Error message: You must install Windows Media decoders. Please install codecs, or run Windows Media Player. The error occurs when attempting to watch your Slingbox.

Error code 0x93260013

Error message: You are unable to watch the Slingbox. Someone else is currently watching it. The error occurs when you attempt to watch your Slingbox.

Causes

You are trying to watch a Slingbox that someone else is already watching.

Solution

Only one user can watch a Slingbox at a time. Kindly ask the other viewer to give it up so you can watch some television!

Error codes 1628 and 1607

Error message: Failed to Complete Installation" while installing SlingPlayer application software.

When installing the SlingPlayer application, the error code 1628 occurs at the beginning of the installation. This error message is a system-specific error involving Microsoft Windows. Please follow the steps below to resolve this error. Depending on your system, you may need to try some or all of the listed solutions.

  1. Try to find and terminate any previously running install processes. Clean the "Temp" directory, and ensure the Windows Installer Engine is installed on your computer.
  2. Check for running install processes by pressing CTRL-ALT-DEL and selecting Task Manager. Click the Processes tab and look for any process with the name setup.exe, isetup.exe, ikernel.exe, msiexec.exe, idriver.exe, IsUninst.exe, IsUn16.exe, Uninst.exe, or Uninst16.exe. If you find an install process, click the process name and click the End Task button.
  3. Try to delete the contents of your "Temp" folder.
  4. Make sure that the Installer folder in the Windows directory has full access privileges. The installer folder may be hidden on your computer, so you will have to set your computer to see hidden files and folders and then set the proper permissions to the \Installer folder.

Note: The above steps may also apply to Windows Error 1607.

Error code 0x8007274D

Error message: The connection attempt failed. Make sure the Slingbox you are trying to watch is set up for remote viewing and not blocked by firewall/NAT settings. The error occurs when trying to watch your Slingbox remotely.

Causes

One of the following can cause the error:
  • If you were previously able to watch your Slingbox remotely, the most likely cause is that your Internet connection at home has gone down.
  • Port forwarding is not properly set up.
  • You did not set up remote viewing during the initial setup process.
  • Firewall settings are blocking the use of your Slingbox, or are not configured properly.

Solutions

Try connecting to your Slingbox again. If the problem persists, try the following:
  • Make sure your home Internet connection is working, and that your modem and router are on.
  • Open a port on your router and then run the Setup Wizard. See this article for information on port forwarding: LINK.
  • If you are using firewall software, configure it to allow connections to and from the Slingbox. See this article for information: LINK.
  • Make sure remote viewing is enabled by following these steps:
    1. Select Edit Properties from the Slingbox Directory.
    2. Select the Slingbox Configuration tab.
    3. Click Change within the Network Settings category.
    4. Make sure the check box is selected on the Remote Viewing screen.

I haven't been able to find the meaning of this error.....

9234006D Operation Failed

Get it when trying to connect to my box from work to home.  Verified that the box is working by having a friend connect.  Thought it was the corporate firewall, but verified the port is open (5190) with http://www.canyouseeme.org/

Does anyone know what it is? or at least have the real definition of the error?

Just so you know you are being read and this is not being ignored.

Sorry. I don't know the answer to this one. Maybe some one else has seen it? If not, or no answer here, I would call sling support.

Have a Sansa device or MP3 player, then check out The latest!
