I videotape weddings and want to stream them live AND record them to DVD simultaneously (including audio). It was suggested that instead of using poorer quality I.P. web cameras, or security camera systems, that I could instead use Sling.

Is this good advice?  Will it improve the quality?  I assume I would need the highest end Sling model so it would have all of the input and jacks in order to capture audio, and send a signal to a DVD player?  Can anyone tell me if this is possible and what other type of hardware and software I would need to make this work?  The end user would be able to watch on any internet connection and not need any kind of Sling equipment himself?

Thank you!

This would be a great idea -- if you only had 1 remote person wanting to view it ;)

Currently there can be only 1 connection to a slingbox.. If this is what your looking for - then no the remote end needs nothing but the free player and the info on how to connect to your slingbox, ie its IP, finderID and or password.

If you are traveling to several different locations, you would need to set the Slingbox up every time. Depending on the location, you may not be able to port forward through the router/corp. firewall.

You would also, need to be sure you have sufficiant upload speed to make the video quality worth burning to DVD.
