Had no problems installing in my T-Mo Palm 680 and SlingBox streams as expected (a little better than expected, actually - as long as the lips sync, i'm basically happy!)

There are random crashes (which reset the Palm) - no pattern just yet to report.

So far, working better than expected (especially in an "unsupported" device and a slower data connection.)

 Good job Sling and Sharon!

No problems installing on my Treo 680 here either. Requires a password, which I haven't had in the past, but no big deal, I set an easy to remember password up, and was good to go.

Here's some relevant information:

-Cingular Treo 680, full signal (the tower is less than 1/4 mile away), unlimited data plan. 3g sim chip.
-Use port forwarding at home through router. I can set up QOS if you guys feel it would help my quality.
-Home ISP is Time Warner Cable, cable modem, little used upspeed (no downloading media).
-Slingbox is slingbox tuner, newest firmware (Nov 06, I believe).
-Using analog tuner in slingbox for viewing.

Comments:

The video looks great, but it is choppy unless I keep my Treo perfectly still. I can't imagine using this in a moving vehicle as is. Maybe you guys can put an option in to increase buffering and/or video quality?

Changing channels via the number keys isn't super intuitive. Maybe a transparent overlay over the screen showing what numbers you are pressing?

I'm pretty happy with this. It gives my Treo so much more functionality. Thanks, team!

Sluggo65 - Do you have other applications that might be using the data connection while you're using SPM?  Things like a mail client that polls in the background, etc?  Just looking for things that might conflict and possibly cause the reboot.  Some earlier builds would crash, and sometimes reboot, if I left Chatter Email running in the background (I have it set for constant connections to IMAP).  That doesn't appear to happen in the latest build, but something to think about.

Jeremiah - One thing you can do is switch the audio to Mono Low to use less of the bandwidh for audio, saving more for video.  I've done that.

Mega- What you said about the constant polling rung a bell- I use Blackberry Connect on my Treo680 for email, and it polls on regular intervals. I may need to look into suspending it when I watch the slingplayer.

I did set the sound to mono-high. I'll play with the mono-low and see if thats acceptable.

BTW, didn't mean to hijack your thread, Sluggo. It just works as an ongoing thread for our model Treo. :)

Disabling/suspending other data applications could improve the streaming since there won't be contention for the data pipe.
