laptop connection via treo700p/slingbox

I use my treo 700p as a modem (evdo) connection to my laptop,does this negatively affect a slingbox? I have satellite at home , no tivo or dvr,nor does my laptop have a tunner. I assume l have to get a tunner for the laptop but not sure about the rest,does anyone have any suggestions as to what would be the best setup possible.I travel in a motor home about 5 mos. a yr.,it s a real pain to set up satellite every day or so since I can t put it on m.h. top,nor can I afford that setup.I m not really interested in using slingbox exclussively on my treo,but at times it would be nice to have as an option, if thats even possible.any suggestions would be appreciated. mike51251

I use an EVDO card in my laptop that connects to a Slingbox remotely. No problems. If you already can connect your laptop to the phone, then you are halfway done. You just need the slingplayer software then you are set for the laptop.

Buy a Slingbox AV or Pro and connect it to your sat receiver and internet connection. Get that setup then you can start viewing sat tv where ever your destination is with your RV.

I have used the slingplayer mobile with an EVDO Treo 700wx (the Windows Mobile OS version of your phone). It works great.

Sling Tuner. Hava Gold. Sprint EVDO A laptop card. Moto Q EVDO
