Hello,
I would really appreciate if you could send me a copy of the .bin file for topfield 4000pvr
Thanks in Advanced.

I'm a Slingbox newbie so please forgive the dumb questions.
I'm much more at home with the Toppy though. I don't need the elusive White button, as the MyStuff TAP (http://www.toppy.org.uk/~mystuff) has an autodelete option at the end of watching recordings (so even if I don't just want to delete something without watching it, I can use the numeric buttons to jump near the end and then stop and be prompted to delete), and there are doother ways to get to anything else I need the White button for.
Anyway, back to the point. Am I right in thinking the .bin files are alternative remote control configuration files? If so, I'd love one for the 5800.
The remote as supplied has the Menu button mapped to the Toppy's Archive button, and Custom 04, 05, 20, and 22 to 25. I think the last 4 are Red, Green, Yellow and Blue, 04 is the PiPSwitch key, and 05 is PiP and 20 is Text. Do they have to be so cryptic, or is there a way to give them more helpful labels?
The default remote has a number of buttons on it that aren't mapped to anything, and a number of the Toppy buttons n't appear to be mapped at all (Opt, List, TV/Sat, the real Menu key, and possibly others). Do your .bin files include mappings for these, and if not, is there a way I can add them?
Thanks in advance
Julie

Is Hummer still around? I didn't receive anything.
Maybe I'm a little illiterate at this Sling Com thing!
If anyone received this bin file, could you forward? See August 9th (above).
Many thanks in advance.
Incidentally, I was told by Slingmedia.com that a skin for the 5800 would be available soon. Waiting!

Hello
I have a Topfield TF 5800 PVR and would like the bin files to enable me to delete files using the white button.
Thank you
Unfortunately, Hummer appears to be either no longer around, or at least no longer watching this thread. No sign of any replies since the original post.
It seems we'll have to go elsewhere for Toppy configs :-(

Maybe somebody else got the files already who is still around ?
BTW - are the files useable for a US Version ?
Yes, they should be. You're basically modifying part of the Sling application s/w residing on your PC. Of course the bin file should be resident on the remote PC, but you should be able to check it locally to see if it works, and then install on the remote PC.
Having said all that, someone else might respond and say I'm talking a load of bull xxxx! Whatever, I can take it!
As it happens I'm pretty much giving up on Sling support, and it's also a shame Sling Media don't review the Forum pages!
To recap, the Topfield 5800 was shown to be 'compatible' when checking the Sling Media PC application software. They didn't inform you that it was 'limited functionality' with no dedicated 'Skin'!
Sorry guys (and girls ---- Julie!), I'm signing off!
Hope you get it sorted.
