I've been enjoying the new Palm OS Slingplayer on my Treo 700p ... it is outstanding. My first test was an hour + long drive using about 50% of my Seido 2400 mAh battery pumping the audio through my car speakers. (it was a cloudy day so screen was set about 1/3 bright) The trip was from Cincinnati to Columbus Ohio and my Sprint EVDO connection did not miss a beat until midway. (Jeffersonville, Ohio on I-71) I was amazed at the quality and how well the buffering maintained cell tower handoffs.

This brings up my question: On the computer version of the player, there is a control mode which reduces buffering and lag but help while channel surfing or running a DVR. My problem with the Palm version is that its quite the challenge to fast forward my Tivo and control the device. Any options? (perhaps I missed it ... I don't always read directions. )

All in all ... this is one great product and I'll crack my wallet when the software goes on the market. Well done Slingmedia team!
