I am with Telus up here in BC, Canada. My 'tested' upload is 545kb average.

I had my brother in law test it remotely in Hamilton, Ontario (other side of the country) and he is getting a data stream speed of about 300kb average.

Just wondering if that is normal and just thought I'd ask what others are getting for speed when viewing remotely.

I still have to test it remotely here as I just got the box a couple days ago.

Depends on your upload speed from your provider. Testing sites can be problematic as there may be congestion between you and them, etc. The test your bro did is probably accurate.

Sling generally uses 15-20% overhead. My host in Toronto is uploading at 800k and I get 650 here in Melbourne, Australia.
