I have the same box and just did a record of a program... Fist select what you want to record then you.. So my guess is you will have the "guide" window up then you hit the spacebar to be able to scroll the guide, then you find your program then you click the center button and center button again to select record.. Then you confirm the time setting and how many episodes ect. next you have to hit the menu down button which is the 2nd button to the right of the space key right next to the alt key, then go to the remove control from the menu then down the Misc then you have to select button A to record the program.. You can also hit the far button on the screen at the bottom to get the pop down window to get to the remote control..
