What has happened to you if you have never been able to connect, despite you been on the phone for hour after hour with technical help, did you get your money back for the box?

I was just wondering as that’s what has happened to me I was going to peruse to get a refund as there is no way I can connect remotely, ok at home and technical support are no use, they don’t know the problem and as I said I have phoned them loads and loads of time and still cant connect, they go through the same thing every time I phone and I keep telling them “that’s what we have tried the last time………” even though they give me a ref number for the next time still I have to go through it all over again just not to be able to connect, so I will be demanding my money back!! Yell

How about you post your network setup, an how and from where your trying to connect remotely.. an we will fix it for you.

Because if you can connect to the sling from your local network, then its not anything wrong with the slingbox.

 edit:

I just read your other thread, which you never got back to from all the info given there.. What mode is your F5D7330 in? inf or ad-hoc?

What IP address did your sling get?  Please post your port forwarding settings...

Do you have any other devices on the network. How is the machine that your connecting to the sling with connected to this network, wired to the router or wireless?

Ok mate here goes!

 Have Belkin F5D7633 Router

F5D7330 Gaming adapter

Have three laptops, two with Vista Ultimate one with XP, cant get any to connect remotely, can connect to the Slingbox at the Sling company and they can connect to my box!

I have McAfee on two Laptops but have configured to allow the Slingbox to work and no security on the other one other than Windows firewall and this is a brand new laptop.

Tried port 5000, 5001, 80, 443 all no good

Have the Slingbox connected to the Sky box by S-Video

All works ok at home both the Router and Gaming adaptor connect wirelessly to each other.

Now if you can solve this then you should be on the technical help line!
