Just joined the community and was surprised my very first post was deleted.

It was about slingbox sharing like establishing a slingbox community.  Unbeknownst to me, this is a no-no.  I see they are paranoid about that.  Not much freedom here.

I PM'd you after your first post and deleted it.  Matt replied to your 2nd post and we left it up for a while then deleted it..  Read the rules...

If you do a search for share slingbox you'll find at least one site that failed..

Slinging Tivo Series 2, Tivo HD, and TW cable from a Pro. Slinging Tivo HD from a Solo, Slinging Humax DRT800, and TW cable from a Classic to Sprint Mogul, AT&T SX66, N62, 8525, and Dell Inspiron 8600 with Sprint EVDO over Windstream DSL.

The most common reason people ask for sling "sharing" is simply that they want to test the Sling concept in their own personal situation (their ISP, their PC, etc) before buying. This is a very reasonable thing to want to do and I still can't see why Sling doesn't just set up a public Sling test node for people to try Sling out. It could use some public video content and bump people off after 5 minutes. And it would solve most requests for "sharing" that are completely reasonable and legit.

Based on the "Slingbox In Action" page on Sling's website, I think they will at some point..

But then, of course, when someone buys one and it doesn't work as good as the demo, they'll be upset..
