I am having this issue as well, infact nothing is working for me anymore. For some reason all the issues I am having is causing from focusing on my daily responsiblities.
anyone else having this problem. Its not as though its hard to fix each time, but it was never a problem before. I still have the check marked to automatically reconnect to the last slingbox in the preferences.... thanks for any help!

Have you tried moving the ~/Library/Preferences/com.slingmedia* files to the trash and then rerunning the setup assistant? (Moving these files to the trash will toast all your settings)
