My 3rd PPC6700 finally died today.  I had this one for over a year though.  It's pretty worn out.  I can make and receive calls but can't hear anything and people can't hear me. 

I went to a Sprint store here in Charlotte and they checked it out and said they couldn't fix it, broken connection to the motherboard or something.  They offered to replace it with a Treo 700WX.  No PPC6700s in the Charlotte area or in their warehouse.  No news on the PPC6800 either

It's insured so I called them and they actually had new ones in stock.  It's costing me (work actually) $65 but I'm getting a brand new one instead of a refurb..

If you follow the 6700 forums, you'll see that Sprint is currently big on replacing 6700s with Treo 700WXs...Good for you for not falling for that trap.  The 6700 is the best WM5 box they have...at least until the 6800 or its replacement is available!  Getting a brand new one is just a bonus...
