ok so originally I purchased the Tuner, but I have cable PVR and wanted to be able to veiw my recorded shows and other subscribed chanels. So I got the Pro, the question is with the tuner I used the Y-splitter and I could veiw differant channels (basic) while my wife watch he show on the TV.Now I purchased the HD slingbox cable and running it from the PVR (it works great) but while watching it via my laptop the TV plays exactly the same thing. can I still hook up the Y-Splitter so basic cable is avalable throught the sling box too?

Yes, just use your splitter and put the coax in and you can watch your basic cable channels w/out making the tv viewer mad.  That's how I have mine set up and never had an issue.  The pro has a built in tuner just like your tuner had.  The benefit to the pro is you can run more then one input.  i.e. your coax (basic cable) and also your cable box/TiVo/DVR.

Slingbox Pro Slinging Comcast cable and HD via Comcast HSI using AirLink Powerline adapters; Slingbox Classic Slinging Sunddenlink Analog Cable and D* HR21 via Sunddenlink HSI, using Linksys Gaming adapter.
