I was on the phone with tech support yesterday and also chatting on Sat - the network light doesn't come on......

I've restarted the router, changed the LAN cable, restarted the SB, pushed the blue reset button but nothing helps. Oh and the power light is pretty dim.......

Tech support thinks it may have a bad power supply but I have my doubts. This thing is 2+years old, I think and has been on since I got it. Any ideas? Buy a new one? And, if so, which one? I use it in my living room to watch baseball while my wife has me watching the main TV tuned to 'The Closer' or on the road while watching sports.

Forgot to add: I use a laptop, have no desire to watch over a cell phone or PDA.

They would maybe send you a free power supply.  But, if you are looking for an excuse to get a new one I guess you have it.

Slingbox ProHD Slinging Comcast cable and HD via Comcast HSI using AirLink Powerline adapters; Slingbox Pro and Classic Slinging Sunddenlink Cable and D* HR21 via Sunddenlink HSI, using Linksys Gaming adapter. 2 Slingcatchers set up to use Slings.

It probably is the power supply. I had a similar issue and the power supply resolved it. Replacing the power supply is cheaper and I sure wish I could private message you with some other details.

Well, waddya know - SB tech support sent me a new power supply and it fired right up as if nothing had ever happened.

Saved me $250 as I was going to buy a new SB Pro....

THANKS SB, YOU GUYS ARE THE GREATEST!!
