I was one of those lucky enough to win a SlingBox Classic in the recent contest.  As I read through the forums, I see that there are a number of possible conflicts - notably IP addresses and port numbers.  How do I install the second SlingBox so as to insure that these conflicts do not occur?

Thank you for any advice.

It should be fairly automated.  I suggest just jumping in.

Slinging Tivo Series 2, Tivo HD, and TW cable from a Pro. Slinging Tivo HD from a Solo, Slinging Humax DRT800, and TW cable from a Classic to Sprint Mogul, AT&T SX66, N62, 8525, and Dell Inspiron 8600 with Sprint EVDO over Windstream DSL.

only 3 issues that will arise.

when runing the setup wizard, simply do a manual configuration of your network router and choose a different port instead of 5001 for the new box (do something like 5002 or whatever you want ythat iosn't being forwarded to another internal IP).

At that point go into your router configuration page and forward that port to the internal IP address asigned to your newly instalked slingbox classic.

*However the third and most inportant issues is your upload speed. You must have suffiecient sped to run both units at the same time and still have good enough picture to be watchable. Lets say you have ponly 384 upload---that won't be suitable for watching both units at the same time. However 512KB would be tolerable (being split 2 ways) and anything 1MB or above would produce a good pic result on both units.
