Ok...i am about to buy the Pro...but wanted to ask a newbie question... After all the setup and i install the software at work....What ports does it use to tunnel through...Work has some blocked and wonder if it would be worth it or not....Thanks...

I have read you can assign whatever port.....at work, 21,23,25,79,80,110,139,143,and 443 are open..... i know some are there for email, and NetBios, 80 for internet...and 443 for secure... after a port scan for open ports...it brought those up....all say secure....

But can ya use 443....or will it not let it go out or come in with it being secure

By default the slingbox uses port 5001. However it is configurable to use any port you desire. When you run the network configuration utiity upon setup, simply choose to manually configure and specify the port desired. I'd select port 443 or port 80 since those are open not only in your senario---but almost all workplace environments.

Is watching TV at work going to NOT be a problem?  Is sucking up a bunch of Bandwidth to do it also NOT going to be a problem, as in FIRED?

I know I wouldn't allow my Employee's to be doing that.  They should be doing the Job their getting PAID for.  I sure wouldn't pay people to sit around watching TV.  That's just me though.

As for missing football, that's what a DVR is for.  That and not tuning into the Radio where your going to hear the score and know what happens before watching.
