I have a piczel 5140 dvr. Looks just looks like the Q.SEE. I had no luck from Piczel getting an IR code, but some how ended up with Q.SEE code in a email. Tried it, but couldn't get the test button to highlight. Here's the email they sent.
So sorry for the delay reply, and about model Q4DVR4CM, the remote IR code is: TT6221-1 that can easy to control DVR through Slingbox remotely, so pls try to set up right now, and if you have any queries or need any help at this moment, just don't hesitate to let us know, many thanks.
Hope it helps

I have the same product and am curious to understand what you do with the aforementioned code. How do I program the slingbox manually to try and use the TT6221-1 code?
Please let us know if you can get this to work!
Thanks
I was hoping there would be a selection under the "other" category. I just got back in town so I'm planning to snoop around in the system tonight. Maybe Rolex56 will save us from experimentation.
So did anyone ever get anywhere with this. I was reading some of the JP-1 remote customization forums, I just don't have the time/effort right now to buy all the hardware and "reverse engineer" the remote control system....
I guess Q-See and Slingbox never got enough feedback to make it happen. Still view the cameras remote on my phone, but if I have to review something I head for a laptop and use the Netviewer.
Netviwer is a horrible product, I am returning the Q-See unit I purchased and am getting the newer H.264 version that they have at Costco. Better software, newer hardware, better compression. Hopefully I will figure out how to use the Sling with it one day.....
I haven't tried the newer version yet, but its nothing to write home about. It did take some screwing around with it to figure out how to review previous recorded events and copy them into jpegs or mpegs. Once I figured it out its worked ok. Is the new one at Costco a networked unit?
Still looking for a way to control the unit via sling and windows mobile. I purchased one of the newer DVR units from Costco and returned the older product. Video quality is much better. Works great on the sling, just wish I could control the video output. Right now I can only see a 4 way view.
Anyone figure anything else out?
Nothing yet, Q-See was willing to work with Slingmedia but no movement yet. We need to bug Sling.
Just bought a Q-See from costco too. Wish I can control it from my slingbox. :(
i have a q-see dvr, and i connected that with a a/v switcher fron radio shack, the ona that have IR learning, i can now watch 3 cameras, plus the screen separate in 4 boxes, all the cameras have a Y conectors.
still i can't control the dvr, i can select the camera in full screen, or the boxed screen
hope this can help someone
ps. sorry about my english, is not my first lenguage
Your english was fine! Actually I did a similar thing, I split the Q-See DVR signal to feed a DVD/VCR and the Slingbox. So when I use Slingplayer my choice are the Satellite receiver (into the composite inputs), Q-See DVR (coax input), and the DVD/VCR (composite inputs). The Satellite and DVD/VCR are both controlled by the IR (just using one leg each of the IR cable). So the DVD/VCR having Qsee DVR feed on Line 1 gives me the ability to watch the cameras in the Quad view mode, or watch a DVD or VHS tape. What I priamrily do is keep a blank VHS tape in the unit so if I see something going on around the house I hit the record button and tape the cameras. My DVR is also capturing the happenings. Every so often I've found my hard drive locks up and and needs reformatted (maybe every three months or so), but whenever I notice the time is frozen its time to power down. I believe QSee has come out with some cellular phone viewing programs now, I don't know if they work with older DVR's.
