SlingBox is all hooked up and I can view DirectTV on my computer and operate the remote control from the computer as well.

HOWEVER, in the setup process "Activating Remote Viewing" failed with the message, "The SlingBox cannot be reached from the internet".  I entered the Name/model number for my router manually (as instructed).  I am not certain what to do next.

Any ideas folks?

Thanks

Rocky

well...make sure your router is setup for port forwarding,,,,,use 5001 for the default port...... make sure the IP you give the slingbox is within the range it is allowed

Thanks for the response.  I found the problem.  I didn't enter the correct router password during SlingBox install.  Unfotunately, the SlingBox install program gave a misleading error message.
