That's strange. I am experiencing the EXACT same problem under almost the exact same circumstances.
I too live remote and the Slingbox AV is at my parents house. They too had a power outage yesterday and we can no longer connect as well.
My mom has the Slingbox software on her computer as well, but she too is unable to connect. I am at a loss as to what to do. It has been working fine for months, even though several other power outages.
The Slingbox itself appears to power on and cycle though fine, but of couse looks can be deceiving. We have reboot all computers, DISH receiver, and the Slingbox itself.
The error I am receiving says:

Your Slingbox is unable to communicate with the Slingbox Finder, or you entered an incorrect Finder ID. Check your Finder ID and make sure remote viewing is enabled for your Slingbox. If the ID and settings are correct, check your home network and router.
Error: 0x9234006E

All the network settings are fine, nothing has been changed. One minute we were watching a movie on the Slingox, the next *poof*, power goes out across the world and we have had nothing since.
Any suggestions anyone?
