My fellow Slingers,

As some of you may have discovered, a particular person has recently been sending spam via the private message system... a real person sending out spam messages one by one to certain members. Unreal isn't it?

As a response to this, we are going to be implementing new security protocols in the PM system. A system of checks and balances in a way (we're still hammering out the details). The goal is that we will automatically ban people that abuse the PM system. This may also mean that there may be certain criteria a new member has to meet before they can even send a PM to another user (if so, some of you may not be able to send PMs until that criteria is met). Again, still working out the details there, but I wanted to assure all of you that I will not tolerate spammers here at SlingCommunity. With any luck, this new system will be in place on Thursday or Friday.
