I think a nice feature would be to send a text message from the PC/Mobile Sling viewer to the Video device attached to the sling box. You could then send simple message to whoever is watching the TV/Monitor from the remote sling player locations.
The video out to the home TV is just a passthru. It would take a total redo of how the system works and possibly affect the quality of the signal at home..
