I have an SB-Pro with the HD input.  Unfortunately I do not yet have HD.  can I add the HD Cable connect and use the inputs on that from another device or does the source have to be HD? For example I connect the HD cable connect to the SB and add a normal DVD player with normal RCA cable to the HD cable.  If not is there some sort of converter cable that I can plug into the HD input and plug the normal RCA into that?

Any way to have one SB input for two different devices, say a DVD player and CD changer?  Obvisouly would not be using both at the same time.

The HD connect will work with any device that uses component cables for it's video display.  You could use your DVD player as you mentinoed, there are people that are using it for items like their xbox 360.  Your Pro supports up to 4 inputs (1 component with the dongle, 2 compoiste/s-video, and coax cable).

That's if the DVD player has component output.

Are you already using the composite, SVideo, and coax on the Pro?  It has 3 inputs before you need the HDConnect.

I'm using the coax for cable straight out of the wall and the SVideo connection for my DVR/Cable Box (so I have the option of watching TV without effecting anybody else and still have the ability to watch recorded shows from the DVR).  I have the RCA input available, but I want to connect both my DVD player and my CD changer.

It should work for you, just make sure your dvd player has Comp cables for video out (red green and blue cables).  Most newer dvd players do have this option for video out.  You'll need to buy the HD connect if you don't already have it.

Does it have to be the SlingBox HD connect,or is there a less expensive after market adapter that would work?
