I see that some people have successfully loaded Sling Mobile on their Samsung I760 (even though it IS NOT supported by its creators).  These folks have a few complaints but at least they were success with the load.  I need help.  I follow the directions carefully for the trial download but all I get is a "load not successful.....sling mobile only for PDA Smart Phones"  or something close to that.  Who can tell me the trick for JUST LOADING THE SOFTWARE.

 HELP.....PLEASE  This grandmother sure would like to give this software a try!

I looked up the specs of your phone at www.gsmarena.com

Either your phone doesn't have enough memory to load the software, 40mb is very small, OR if you're using a transflash card, its data rate is not fast enough to execute the program once loaded. Either way, I think your best bet is to get a decent sized Transflash card (1gb or more). If not, it might just be an older firmware that cannot support the slingmedia download.

Thanks but I do have a flash card installed (2GB) but I never get as far as being asked where I want the software installed.  I did update the SlingBox AV software on my PC before trying to download and install the trial.  So where does that leave me?

I had the same issue.

I've loaded the i760. It's not a Smartphone (based upon the Slingmedia guidelines). Load the PPC version (spm_ppc_15098_us) and voila!

Thanks a million.  I now know I have a PDA and not a Smart Phone!  I have Sling Mobile working and I love it.

A windows mobile phone with a touch screen is a Pocket PC (PPC)...a windows mobile phone without a touch screen is a smartphone...and you need to select the correct software load for each.
