Try pressing the reset buttom for 10 secs.
my Slingbox Pro had been working great until about one month ago. Now the network LED continuously blinks in a 5 blink - pause - 5 blink pattern. I went thru the suggested troubleshooting actions - unplugged the router (ATT Uverse) - unplugged the Slingbox - restarted everything and get the same activity on Slingbox. The system was working fine with the Uverse router prior to the current problems.
Any ideas out there?
Tried that - no luck. It seems strange that the blinking has a pattern. In the troubleshooting guide they just mention if it is blinking once a second or every two seconds. They don't mention the pattern I am seeing - 5 blinks in about 3 seconds then a 2 second pause, then repeat 5 again and so on. Almos seems like the blinking pattern is indicating something.
I am not aware of 5 blinks pattern. The link below I believe has the info about slingbox lights that you already know. I would continue trying to reset your slingbox multiple times to verify if light pattern changes or goes away.
Maybe your Sling power brick went bad for whatever reason and need replacement.
For testing purposes, I believe you can connect the Slingbox direct to your computer using a cross over cable, once conected try upgrading firmware.
About the lights on the front of the Slingbox
I just posted a comment exactly like yours. Slingbox Pro working perfectly for 18 months and then nothing except a blinking light. My network can't see the box and I have tried everything including buying a new Linksys router and NOTHING works. If you check the threads, this seems to be a problem many of us are having. It's time for the folks at Slingbox to let us know why something that was working just fine one day does not. I have not changed a thing on my network until this problem started and I cannot resolve it.
Apparently there are reports of this problem happening.
Nothing has been posted to explain it though.
I'm having the same issues as everyone here.
I fixed mine. It turns out I was using the wrong power supply. If I let it sit there long enough, it would get an IP address. But when I tried to connect, it wasn't getting enough power to keep it connected to the internet. I had my router and my slingbox power supplies swapped. Swapped them back to the normal, and it's fixed.
I appreciate the replies to my post and I'm sorry I haven't been keeping up to date. I think Double T is experiencing the exact same problem I have. My unit was working fine for a couple years or so, then just stopped connecting to the network. I checked power supply which seems to be OK. I have also reset many many times with no luck. I kinda gave up on it for a while.
Has anyone received any info from Sling on this problem. I loved the Slingbox but I certainly don't want to buy another just to have TV on my garage computer or when I travel (infrequently.) I just put another DirecTV receiver in the garage, but wife wants TV on her computer in the office.
I have another post going on this same issue. There has been no reply from Sling despite the fact that my other post has also uncovered many people who have the same issue, one who said that if we google this problem there are even more hits.
I'm in the same boat as you. I don't want to buy another slingbox to fix the issue. I want the company to respond to our messages and/or provide a software patch or provide a credit for new hardware if that is the problem.

Mine's not a new slingbox. I got it when the Pro first came out, and was one of the first delivered the HD cable when it came out. As most of you, it worked absolutely flawless. I disconnected it, and then rearranged my office. When I reconnected it, I had used the wrong power supply. Seems there's a tremendous draw on the lan cable when that gets the IP address and even more so when you start streaming. If there's not enough juice, it drops the connection. Check the output of your power supply to make sure that the SLingbox is getting 6 volts at 2 amps. It could be that your power supply is bad, or you're using the wrong one.
Has anyone tried the Hava machine - a lot cheaper than another Slingbox Pro.
My Slingbox pro worked great for 10 months. Just stopped working yesterday. Can't get the network light to even blink. Even tried plugging directly into my router. Tried all the resets and restarts and nada. I haven't changed a thing on my network or Slingbox unit. I'm not using the wrong power supply. what could have happened?? Any ideas? This seems to be an issue other people are having. Anybody talked to Slingbox about whether or not this is a fluke bad unit or a common problem? They're sending me a replacement but it's really a hassle.
I have been accessing my SLPro for almost 2 years now and it has worked flawlessly the entire time - Until this week. Now my power light is on, but the network light is off.
I tried the usual logical stuff:
1) Confirmed my windows FW is off
2) Disabled all security on my Linksys WRT54G to rule that out
3) Unplugged power, waited 5 minutes, plugged it back in, etc
4) Swapped network cable with another device that I knew worked
5) Held the reset button down for 5+ seconds, released
Still, when I try to connect I encoutner an error window that says:
The connection attempt failed. Make sure the Slingbox you are attempting to watch is on, set up for remote viewing and not blocked by firewall/NAT settings.
Error: 0x8007274C
Here is a screenshot of the error:

Look for my other post on this issue. You will find that at least 6 other people have had the same issue, and tried all the remediation steps (I even bought a new router). I had the same error message you did using both a Windows PC and a Mac. My suggestion: contact Sling support through the chat feature and ask for an RMA. They did this for me and at least one other member of this chat room for free. It's our conclusion that they know this is an issue and are replacing the defective boxes for free. They will give you a case and RMA # and then you mail your box back to them. They then mail you a new box. If you want one faster, you give them a credit card number and they will mail you a box right away.
I also had similar problems as others with the Network not being found issue. I called technical support tonight. The support drone on the other end did a valiant job to blame my network for the problem, but even when connected directly to the router the SB Pro would not stay connected to the network. One or two screens into the setup the unit would loose connection with the network. The unit is 2 days old. It worked for a few hours this afternoon, but after pressing the reset button (to change the configuration) it hasn't worked since.
I have tried all combinations of pressing the reset button for 5 seconds, 15 seconds, and unplugging the unit and plugging it back in while holding the reset button. Nada, nothing, Zilch. The unit is FUBAR.
I have tried connecting directly to the router with the supplied ethernet cable. The support drone said "we don't support switches" - whatever that means. Regardless the unit did not work.
Bottom line is that with all these comments, Sling is going to have to realize they have an issue that needs to be addressed.
I will be returning my unit to Best Buy tomorrow. I am undecided to give another unit a try... It's too bad really. When it workend this afternoon it seem to work well. A single push of the reset button and it craps out. Odd.
Best of luck to the rest of you. I will watch to see if anyone finds the magic fix.

I understand your frustration after only having the unit two days! There is definitely an issue here. I am shipping my unit back for a replacement tomorrow. I, like others take issue with fact that you have to purchase additional items to use this product unless your router is next to your cable box. That being said, the Slingbox worked beautifully for me even when my girlfriend and I went to Europe last spring. Hope that helps....
Hi folks:
I'm having this same problem after upgrading to the latest firmware as part of the 2.0 install. Every so often it drops connectivity and I have to either power it off and back on, or pull out and reinsert the network cable. The trouble also tends to be triggered by connecting or disconnecting from the unit. It doesn't happen while actually watching a program.
When I look at the diagnostic page from the Netgear GS748T switch that the slingbox is connected to I see that when this problem happens the switch starts reporting FCS errors (Frame Check Sequence). These errors continue even after the slingbox is disconnected from the software, and in fact they continue until the unit is rebooted, the network cable is pulled out and reinserted, or until I change some setting in the switch regarding the port the slingbox is on, which causes the connection to momentarily drop (basically simulating the pull and out reinsertion of the network cable). Based on this I'd say that the latest firmware version has a problem at the ethernet frame level, which is causing these FCS errors.
If anyone knows someone at Slingbox to forward this information to please do so. I do not believe that this is some other hardware problem because I replaced the ethernet cable, and I moved the slingox to a different port on the switch, and I got the same results.
