You can get a used VCR that would work. Probably under $10.00 at Goodwill or something like that.

Have a Sansa device or MP3 player, then check out The latest!

A plain old VCR should work fine with Comcast basic analog cable service. As long as you stick to the major brands you should be just fine with IR support, but be sure to look through the supported brands in SlingPlayer just to be on the safe side.

Anyone any idea about which external tuner would work with a Classic Slingbox ? I mean, that the Slingbox can be programmed for the IR codes of such an external tuner ?

thanks

Why would you want an external tuner for the classic? It has a built in tuner already.

Slingbox ProHD Slinging Comcast cable and HD via Comcast HSI using AirLink Powerline adapters; Slingbox Pro and Classic Slinging Sunddenlink Cable and D* HR21 via Sunddenlink HSI, using Linksys Gaming adapter. 2 Slingcatchers set up to use Slings.
