So who received their "Spring news from Sling" in their email today?  It was nice reading the news from Blake and what is happening.  But, did you notice that they gave no date for release of Slingcatcher; but the HD Sling has a release date of this fall.  So I guess we'll keep having to wait.....also the title of the email said "Sping" instead of Spring.  Glad to know I am not the only one that makes stupid spelling errors/tyopsLaughing

Numerous video's on youtube from Jan 2008 state early 2nd quarter guess they were lying about that also.

PRO-HD was announced as a Q3 release. The Fall timing in the newsletter is inaccurate. Sooner, I promise!  (Though, I'm double checking to make sure...)

How come the SlingPlayer 2.0 coming soon Thread was closed? Who would complain? There was nothing wrong with what was being said. It is a little irk-some that the Sling community is being kept in the dark about the release and any issues. I personally can't see any reason that they have to so secretive.  It isn't like they need a Release date party. They have already had 2 of them with the CES. 2007 and 2008. Same applies to Sling Catcher.

The only people that Sling Media is hurting is it's customer base. A more open approach will garner you more love from your pretty loyal customer base.

Is it a US-only update e-mail - I certainly haven't received anything from Sling recently (in fact not sure when I last did apart from Beta programme things).
