I would test the connection using only a line to the cable modem--->router--->Slingbox, if the problem is fixed, one of the other devices or connections is the one that is giving you the problem.

Here is my set up at the home location.
Time Warner Road Runner cable comes into the house. Cable is split 3 ways:
Line 1 goes to the cable modem for the phone
Line 2 goes to the cable box connected to the Slingbox
Line 3 goes to the router
So line 2 that goes directly to a standalone cable box that connects to the Slingbox Pro.
Slingbox connects to the router
So it's Cable Box --> A/V signal to Slingbox --> Slingbox signal to router.
They have a router and a modem, router for Internet access, modem for phone use.
Now I can connect remotely for about 2-3 hours with about 900 kpbs remote. Then the signal completely and immediately disconnects and I cannot reconnect unless the router is reset at the home location. The home location also loses internet connectivity.
I have been in contact with Slingbox support and they cannot connect to the slingbox when this happens so it is clearly something on the home end.
The error message I get is the check to see if the power is on or if behind a firewall or NAT.
Could the modem for the phone be assigning a new ISP to the router that doesn't match the slingbox and thus causing my connection to drop?
Any suggestions? It's been a month and a half of this and the investment is not worth the aggravation at this point, but I'm willing to give it one last shot
Just chatted with online support and just cannot believe they would suggest an unstable network. I connect for 3 hours then a drop? I also cannot believe I'm the only one with this issue and there is not a simple solution that they could suggest or post. Again, any help or guidance would be great.
