Hi

   when ever i try to watch tv on my laptop a way for home. i get this singplayer  the connection attempt failed.make sure the slingbox you are trying to watch is on set up for remote viewing and not blocked by firewall/nat settings   error 0x8007274c

 thank you                can anyone please tell me how to setup my remote viewing?

Yes the problem seems to be a port forwarding problem, I can help you, but I need to know the brand and model of your router, since the port forwarding is different in all the routers.

Hopefully this help because your specific router is not listed on this webpage but use the following link: http://www.portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/Westell/Westell610...

Most of the Westell routers use the same configuration utility so follow these instructions and any further help let me know.
