I just got a slingbox and I can't get a remote connection. The tech told me that it's a verizon issue. I have a dlink 614+ router but the tech guy said there was another router, evidently my very old westell modem from Verizon which I have no clue how to program or setup? My Westell modem is an old 210015-D4 DSL modem. Does anyone have any suggestions? I looked at the portforward.com website but I didn't find anything useful Verizon help was worthless, as usual. I assume this isn't the first instance. I would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks.
My friend the best suggestion is to call the Sling support and tell them that you have a multiple router configuration, and need to know how to setup the second router/modem, before you call them make sure you have access to it (usermane and password) to log on that device and setup for use your Slingbox outside of the home network.
