Hi All,
I am having a lot of difficulty setting up remote viewing. Everything is set up correctly, which has been confirmed with Slingbox tech support. I can view my programming internally within my network, but get an error when trying to access it externally.
Tech support told me "Your network is now configured, but the port needs to be open by your Internet Service Provider as well. In this case, what I suggest you is to contact your Internet Provider and ask them to open the port 5001 for protocols TCP and UDP on your network
"
I have tried to call Charter whio deferred me to Linksys, who said that my router is out of warranty and would cost $30+ to help. Can anyone PLEASE HELP??? I am leaving for the UK tomorrow for a year and would really like to get this set up before I go.
Current equipment: Slingbox Pro, Linksys WRT54G router, Charter modem, Linksys WGA600N bridge.
Thanks,
Brian
