I am curious if you can use a webcam with the Slingbox Solo.

I did some searching on these forums and google but I didn't find anything.

I know that there is a USB port on the solo.  Would it be possible to hook up a USB webcam to that port.

If not, what are some options for running a webcam with the Solo.

Thank you for your time.

No, the USB port currently doesn't do anything - it is for future use. And that planned use does not currently include support for webcams, just USB mass storage devices and the planned SlingLink Wireless adapter.

You need a webcam with A/V output which you can connect to the A/V input on the SOLO.

It will charge your cell phone though. Laughing

If the webcam needs juice, it'll also feed it. It feeds power to my Asus wireless bridge.
