Checked the poll on the home page.  17% report they have not been able to get Slingbox to work.  I think that is quite a telling statistic that either the equipment is not perfected, the tech support is lacking, or sling users are stupid.  I for one have had great success on my LAN but remote viewing is not good.  Based on most posts on this board, I immediately discount Sling users as stupid, because most posts seem well thought out and technologically sound.  My guess is tech support is lacking in diagnosing and fixing problems.  Whenever I have called tech support, they checked my system and said it works fine, however I keep getting cut off with 0x93200005 error.  Admittedly, I have not used remote viewing for almost a year, so i will try tech support again, but if history is a guide, they will tell me they see my remote feed fine, and they dont see a problem.

Interesting take on the poll. Its not up anymore so can't check on your stats but remember that people that have no problems or contacted SM support might not have any idea that this site is here.

Sites like this either have posts with people having problems or people that love the product and want to help others. So you can't consider the poll results as a common denominator of the Sling Box as a whole.

So don't consider the 17% as the total purchasers of the SlingBox, more like the total purchasers, who found this site, saw the poll and then actually voted.

My personal opinion is that most people never have a problem or if they do the support people resolved it and we never heard about it.
