Hello,

New to the site and Slingbox. I bought a slingbox pro and had someone set it up for me in the UK. Uses Talktalk over there with a relatively low upload rate. I've had issues with home viewing and cannot get the system to work for a long period of time. I start watching, thing begins optimising then just freezes. I think it is to do with my Comcast network, but they deny that they throttle bandwidth.

To ensure it was nothing else i took my pc to one of my friends and used their network ATT to view the box, and did so with no issues. Ok teh speed was only about 200 kbps but at least at worked.

Any ideas? I think I'm goin g to have to switch provider, but would like to avoid the hassle if possible.

I would think you need to find a faster upload service in the UK. What do they say the upload rate is supposed to be? You really 512 or better.

If you like the Sling Community and have a Sansa player then check out the Sansa Community!

Think upload is meant to be around 400 kbps, but seems to max out at 200 kbps. I'm back in the uk in a couple and weeks and i'll see what I can do.

My issue is I tried the pc and viewing on someone else's network and there was no issue. Everytime I try the thing on my comcast network, it freezes after a few minutes sometime less.
