I'm currently in the US. The US bought slingbox pro is setup in Taiwan. Within Taiwan both local and remote viewing works.

However when  trying to remove view from US the slingplayer does not seem to receive any stream. The remove control tool comes up, and I seem to be able to change the channel number, but not actual sound or pictures are received.

I called support in the US and they also tried to connect to the slingbox in Taiwan from their systems and had the same problems. Could connect to the box but received no stream.

Is it possible that the sling - UDP - stream gets filtered out somewhere when traveling over the international connection? Is there anything I can try? Is it possible to tinker with the slingbox setting from my current remote location using the admin password?

Thanks

Hmmm I sling crap Taiwan cable TV sometimes..... never had any issues as no video or sound....

But you do have to ask the sling to scan all the channels in.... some look worse than others as Taiwan cable is analogue

Asked and answered many times. YES

Peraps a search funciton mght be useful to you. You don't need a slingbox to view a DM as you can connect to the DM directly thru the internet. Do a search.

Well that's where you are wrong. Do a search in the Dreambox forums. There are many threads on that already.
