I have purchased a sling box pro with the slink link turbo.  I have hooked up both the problem is my router is in the room with my computer the direct TV box is in my bedroom.  the system does not work unless i run an extension all the way through my house to hook up the sling link and pro in the same room.  I called the help desk for sling box they said it had to be on the same circuit as the router.  Does this not defeat the purpose of having a wireless link?  I am suppose to be able to hook the system up in another room.

Is there any idea's from anyone before i return this system?
