I have exactly the same setup at home that you do and it works fine. I don't think the WPA is the problem. I'd look at the filtering on the wireless setup on the router. Maybe not real helpful, but hopefully it will let you know your setup does work.

Hi,
I recently set up my Slingbox. The Slingbox is wired to my router, and my PC is wired to my router also. When I watch from my PC, it works perfectly. I can even watch from my cellphone (outside my home network) and it works fine.
The only thing that I can't get to work properly is watching from my laptop which is connected wireleslly to my network. Wireless connections on the network use WPA, which I am pretty sure is where the problem lies because when I connect via a wireless network without WPA security, it works fine.
So my question is, how can I connect on my laptop wireleslly while still using WPA security? I'd like to leave it on, and it doesn't really impact anything besides me trying to connect with my wireless laptop.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance!
Thanks for the suggestion. I was going to try that, and it might have worked, but I actually fixed it without doing that.
Here's what the problem was: When I was logging into my network on my laptop, I was using the user login to my router rather than the admin login. The user login only allows the client to surf the internet, so it wouldn't allow the Slinbox to work. When I used the admin login, it allows everything to go through, and it worked right away! But now that I think about it, a filer probably would have worked also.
Thanks for the reply.
