Finally, I fixed my problems and my Slingbox is up and running.. i will add details soon..
Hi everyone
I have the Slingbox Pro for more than a year now and everything was working fine. i have Acer laptop running Vista home premium and desktop running Vista home premium as well with Norton Internet security 2008. i used to have D-Link DIR 625 wireless router and speed stream 4200 Siemens DSL modem from Bell Sympatico. setup was easy and i was able to run the remote setup and i tested it many time from outside my network.
I am not sure when excatly or why but i can't run the remote viewing setup, i always get the message ""the Slingbox cannot be reached from the internet"". I sould mention that i updated the slingbox software to latest, my laptop always uptodate with Vista updates, and i installed Norton 360 v. 2.0
In my efforts to find out what is wrong and try to fix it: I rested my router to factory defult (2times) and nothing changed. I reseted the Slingbox itself, but no good. I uninstalled sling box software and reinstall it, nothing changed. i completely uninstalled Norton 360 and teyied again but it didn't work either. i reseted the modem and contacted the ISP and they said that my modem is standrad modem and doesn't have any software in it that can be customized. i followed every instruction on Port Forwarding and still no good. i contacted Slingbox support and the tech was able to to remotely control my laptop and checked all sittings but nothing helpped.
Today I bought anew router D-Link Extreem N DIR 655, it works great and nice stream speeds but on my network only, i still can't connect remotely or even complete the remote viewing setup. if it is not the ISP nor the router nor the software it has to be Vista somehow, is it Vista SP!?? I am going nuts here trying everything i know but no good. I must say that i have two friends just recently bought the Slingbox pro and asked me for help and i was able to setup everything for them, even the remote viewing and all works great for them, so why it doesn't for me. one of them is using semillar D-Link 655 ..... any help is greately appreciated
Let us know how you fixed it. I may help others in the future.

After I tried everything i know and speaking to 3 technical support from Bell who didn't know what port forwading is and never heard of Slingbox at all. i tried the Sympatico forums looking for Sympatico Speedstream 4200 Problems, a very interesting thread.
All I needed was to change the Dlink set up My Interent Connection to PPPoE instead of DHCP then I turned to D-Link again for proper instructions How can I configure my DIR series router to work with a DSL (PPPoE) connection?
and just after rebooting my router everything came online ok and the remot viewing setup for the Slingbox went ok, completed!
I didn't want to post what i found till i test it, and so i did today from work and it works awesome. even the setup on my desktop went in a flash with no more Firewall/Nat messages.
in my home network i am getting stream speads from 2765 kbps and up to 4580 kbps which is great for my HD programs.
I hope this will work for all people with DSL having the same problems. i hope if they try this solution they will post if it works for them or not.

I must add, i restored my vista on the Acer laptop to it is original condition as a clean install again (back to day 1) . i removed Norton 360 completely. I turned Vista Firewall off. i used a friend Sling Pro in my home to see if the remote viewing will work since i know that Sling is almost new and working for my friend, but couldn't finish the setup and always get the message "the Slingbox cannot be reached from the internet". What else left to try, Please someone help me here.
