This was in the release notes. Sorry to hear you learned the hard way.
Switching gears...
(deleted OpenVPN info after I re-read your post)
After all the wait, I'm extremely disappointed in this beta release...
Sling you have to be kidding me. The application just refuses to even open unless I create a VPN tunnel to my home router. It refuses to even start when going thru a proxy server...lol!
Right now, I'm only able to stream with 2.0 if I'm connected to my home router with DD-WRT flashed using an OpenVPN connection...
What happened to the much acclaimed Aero Interface integration with Vista...was that just completely scrapped. Why did it take this long for Sling to release such a useless new version.
Looks like I'll be using SlingPlayer v1.5.1.335 for quite some time still...sigh
Atten FAA employees:
Sling/OpenVPN is possible through the FAA government proxy server via TCP port443 using either amcproxy.faa.gov:8080 or awaproxy.faa.gov:8080...still working as of Sep08 (DOES NOT Work w/SlingPlayer2.0!)
