What are you talking about? No problems here.
You can not go back to old firmware. This is only one of the major bugs with it.

Not sure that not being able to go back to the old firmware is a reason to not try the Beta. I would also think the tech support could put the old 1.5 firmware back on.
BTW, I have ran 1.5 with 2.0's firmware at it ran fine.
Have a Sansa device or MP3 player, then check out The latest!

The major problem here no is I can not just type channels on my laptop. I have to use the remote (which has its own writen code that does not work). I cant use the new guide as it will not work in Canada. So I am screwed.

It clearly said... U.S. install only. Your fault!! not he products.
It runs well for all the U.S people.
Run setup and give it a US Zip code if you are FTA and grabbing DN that will work.
If you are BEV you are screwed for now. Just re-install 1.5 and it will work fine. Firmware is not an issue....
Last time i tried to get tech support to downgrade my firmware they said that the slingbox will not allow them to (I am sure that they can somehow but they would be breaking the sling media law i guess).
In any case I ran the 2.0 player with my older firmware which worked fine. I un-installed it when i realized that you have to always log on to their servers before you can watch your TV. I just don't feel comfortable with logging into their servers where they can know when, how, and where i log onto my TV. Especially, since i have some cameras tied into this thing.
