Why do you need to combine them into the slingbox? Use the passthrough for your coax antenna. Then combine that afterwards with a split cable from your satellite receiver.
Plug the other end of your split satellite receiver into your satellite box and use the RCA cables from that into your slingbox. Done.
Hi,
I've been trying for months now (maybe just feels that way ;-) ) - to set this up :
I've got :
* Analog antenna
* Satellite receiver
Now - my satellite receiver outputs on channel 36. My analog antenna outputs on 31,53,60 etc. Both signals are combined on the same ANT IN COAX. So far so good.
Setting up Slingbox : If I select Antenna connected to the ANT IN I can change channels to 31,36,53,60,etc. - which means I can watch my satellite signal - but I'm not able to use IR to change channels on the sat.box - only change antenna channels.
If I select Sat.box connected to my ANT IN I have to choose a channel (in this case 36) where sat.box outputs - and then I can change channels on the sat.box through IR - but not able to change antenna channels (to 31,53,60,etc.) ...
So basically I just need to able to use the IR remote when choosing Antenna on ANT IN - is this possible ?? If not ... *doh* go make it ;-)
/Martin
