I'd like to buy a Slingbox in the U.S. for use/installation in Ireland. The forums have discussed this and many report that the U.S. NTCS unit will work effectively on PAL in Europe. However, the Help Desk says it will not. Can anybody clear this upp before I spend my money on one?

NTSC and PAL are TV standards, so you cannot use the TV tuner in the US box if you take it to Ireland. But the A/V inputs are standard composite video so it makes absolutely no difference what country you are in.
