No prob! WOrking like a charm now....except Japan's slow connection speeds!!!!
Categories: Slinging Around the World
I have slang (past tense!) to Japan before with no problem, but today and this week I can only connect at 182kps, so no picture. Any ideas why this would be? Two different computers connected at the same slow speed, unable to get a picture. One was a Mac, the other a PC with the new Beta player.
Any ideas? I'm using YahooBB as my ISP and need some answers before KY plays football again!!!!
Thanks in advance!

Japan's slow connection speeds?
Been around the world and no other countries have been able to compete with Japanese connections.
My last speedtest.net results gave me a 85Mbps DL/66Mbps upload. Using Hikari Fiber.
My slingbox in the US is on verizon's new fiber connection and it still bottlenecks what I "could" receive.
I have never had any problems when I used YahooBB or Flets (currently Flets), with a average speed of 500kbs. That being said recently my connection does go from 500kbs then drops to 75 then after a few seconds jumps again. I am using the latest slingplayer for mac on a 2.0ghz macbook pro. Which slingplayer version are you using?
I am running the exact same specs that you are. My Macbook has the Core Duo 2.16 Processor, but I am running the same player that you are. I cannot connect with the YahooBB at my apartment, but I can connect with the wireless server here at school. Could it be something with my router? I think my problems are back home and not really in Japan...

Now when I try to connect, I cant even locate the slingbox--and cannot get a connection. Still no ideas?
