I have the slingbox tuner. I recently switched to VOiP and got a comcast "Arris" modem.

I have hardwire connectivity but can only get remote connection if I have my laptop connected to my work VPN.  As soon as I log off of VPN I lose my slingbox connection and cannot locate the slingbox without the VPN connection.  Can any one help?
