I dont know if this is a coming feature or if this has been asked or stated before (I couldnt find a thread). But is there or why isnt there a selection choice to change your timezone in the EPG?! If Sling expects us to sling around the world to our homes, why cant I choose the timezone my slingbox is in to make the EPG, I dont know, relevant! I apologize if there is a setting but for the life of me I cant find one... Yes yes I know it slingplayer is taking the time from my computer so why dont I just change my computers clock to match the timezone I am from?... Well, that is idiotic and I am in this country for extended times, I would like to know the time here and not where my tv and slingbox are.
Seems like an easy feature and very very very worthwhile for anyone slinging more than one timezone away.
If anything, at least let me change the program guide to the day before so I can see what should be on the day before... (Slinging from New Zealand to Texas) so all the programming is about 16 hours ahead depending on daylight savings and so forth... Another reason I want to change timezones in the program and not my computer....
Please add this feature soon if you are not already working on it. Again, if this has been discussed or there is a way to already do it, I apologize...

It's set up to show your local time so you don't have to do the time conversion. If your computer is set to the timezone you're in you're looking at local time. I guess an option wouldn't be bad but I like seeing that the show starts in 2 hrs and 5 minutes, not calculating the difference and forgetting about daylight savings time and missing it..

Slinging Tivo HD, DirecTV, and OTA from a Pro HD, Tivo HD from a Pro, Tivo HD from a Solo, and Humax DRT800 from a Classic to Sprint Mogul, Dell Inspiron 8600 and Inspiron 1520 with Sprint EVDO, and a SlingCatcher over Windstream DSL.

What? Do you understand my question?

I am in a time zone 17 hours ahead of the time where the slingbox is. I open slingplayer, it says today on channel *** you can watch ****** and the time is noon Saturday. But the slingbox is 17 hours behind that time and in a different DAY! Not only can I not move the program guide to see what is on 17 hours ago (because the EPG cant move backwards) so it would coincide with what the slingbox is actually gonna show, but I cant set it to match the timezone the slingbox is in.

Yes I could change my computer's timezone to the same timezone but that messes everything else up, email is in the past, some applications complain about the time difference, I dont know what time it is without doing the conversion myself, and so on...

Seems easy to me for the makers of slingbox to allow for a setting to make the program guide always match the time zone of the slingbox. Making it easy for anyone to actually use the program guide in any time zone seperate from the slingbox....

If your timezone is set to where you're at, the program guide should show what's on right now. It should show your local time and the show that's on where the SlingBox is at. Are you saying it's not doing that? What does it show?

So, Dateline NBC is on NBC at 9 PM Central Friday, Are you 16 or 17 hrs ahead right now? If it's 17, Dateline should be on at 2 PM Saturday your time. If you look at the guide what does it show on NBC at 2 PM?

Again, the option might be nice but every time you wanted to watch something you would have to do the conversion and figure out what time it is on where you're at. If the guide is functioning properly it should be easier..

I just verified it on my computer. I set my time zone for Central -6 and started SlingPlayer, It showed Dateline on at 9PM. I closed SlingPlayer, changed my timezone to +11, Magadan, Solomon Is, New Caledonia, restarted SlingPlayer and it showed Dateline on at 2PM.

If this isn't what yours is doing you probably need to rerun the AV setup on that input of the SlingBox. When you click "Configure Video Sources", you can reset it, then rerun the setup.

I'll try to rerun the setup. I havent been able to leave my computer in a different timezone and the guide match what is on tv live on the slingbox. This is with Slingplayer 2.0 by the way...

My sister has the same problem. She's in California and the Slingbox Tuner she connects to is in Massachusetts. The time zone difference causes her to see the wrong programming in the Program Guide.
