Why can't Sling manage to release software updates instead of forcing users to download the complete program each time?  It's not that big of a deal with high speed internet, but it just seems lazy and amateur.

I agree. Sling engineers: Sparkle.framework is your friend, find it on The Google.

i have slingbox on my comp and laptop the up dates worked good on my comp.but on my laptop its says you have updates available i press ok it just says downloading updates on the bottom and never does nothing.

Rich uninstall the sling player on your laptop. Then install the player from the web site. the post you bumped was from January

on you laptop only unistall via control plannel. Install it back on just like you did the first time you installed it.

Its cake and should take a few mins

Is the laptop a mac? if so disregard above
