I want to get two sling box solos to connect to two tvs.  One tv is right next to the uverse router and one is upstairs. We need to be able to watch different channels from two different devices at the same time and also not to monopolize the main tv with the family member using the laptop who will want to watch different programs from the viewer at home. The problem is that it is an old house with two electric boxes -  one for upstairs and one for downstairs (a converted two family flat).  Will the sling box solos work for this and and do I need a wireless link or can I use slinglink where you plug it into an outlet?  Thank you for any help.

Just to report back - the slink link worked fine on the different electric circuits and the sling solo that is not near the router works fine.

What data rate do you get on the players?

I don't know the data rate - but it is smooth and seems fine
