I thought a fun thread might break things up a bit.

I'm a movie freek. I watch TV for one reason, to watch movies. I pay for all the premium movie channels, I can get and I still buy PPVs. I have a very simple movie rating. I like action, violance and sex. I want them to all, to be in the same movie.

Here is the challange. If you had to pick 1 movie, you liked best over the years, what would it be?

I'll go first. My pick is;

Braveheart - 1995 staring Mel Gibson as William Wallace.

I can watch that movie, over & over and I enjoy it every time.

Ok, who's next?

    This is really a tough choice, even though I don't actually watch "tons" of movies.

    My final choice would have to be Akira. Close runners up are Braveheart, Gladiator, American Beauty, Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind, Aliens, and Sin City.

    ** Edit. Just remembered that Akira, Nausicaa, and Aliens were made almost 20 years ago. But it's still the movie I've watched the most in the past 10 years, so it will have to count :) **

    Pete you sure have eclectic taste. Best Japanese movie ever 'The Seven Samurai'
    From Wikipedia... "Seven Samurai is frequently described as one of the greatest and most influential films ever made, and is one of a select few Japanese films to become widely known in the West for an extended period of time. It is the subject of both popular and critical acclaim; it was voted onto Sight & Sound's list of the ten greatest films of all time in 1982 and 1992, and remains on the director's top ten films in the 2002 poll."

    I just TiVo'd it again and am planning a Saturday morning viewing. :)
