I need help connecting a Slingbox to a Verizon FIOS Cable Box? I followed all the prompts with the installation and when did a channel search all the channels are snowny? I need to know do I need a video cable or does slingbox needs to be directly connected to the cable box?

I think FIOS is more like satellite than cable. You have to use a box with your TV, you can't connect directly to the TV can you?

I just need a video cable? Also does the sling box and cablebox needs to near each other? Also I need help how to connect to the verizon fios box.

Verizon fios channels are all digital. You may be getting snow because the tuner is not a digital tuner on the slingbox. Therefore it cant pick up any of the channels. You will need to use audio/video out from a fios cable box to the slingbox, then the slingbox to the tv.

I am still having trouble with connecting my slingbox classic to fios. I still do not have any picture. I followed the picture from Brandon C and nothing still. I was able to install the E mmiter and worked fine but after I connect the AV cable no picture..
