10.0.10 updated the firmware on my Solo, too. Unfortunately, this version works even less than the one I upgraded from - at least I got sound with that one; along with an error about an unsupported video resolution. Since the update my client doesn't even connect. Slick.
By the way, does anyone from Sling ever actually answer questions in this forum? Or do they just hope that we'll either solve each others' problems, or just go away? I've gotta say, they haven't been impressing me with either their software quality or support lately.
I guess once they got bought by Dish, they didn't really have to worry about moving retail product anymore. Lots of ways to cut costs there!
A new version (1.0.10) is out for the Mac - see http://support.slingbox.com/go/dl-mac-desktop
I've run this on Snow Leopard and have found no problems. I have two Classics in the UK, and one AV and one SB Pro in the US. Only the SB Pro asks for a firmware update. I applied this; video appears a little sharper.

This is a community forum that a 3rd entity created (nothing to do with slingmedia) in order for people to help people from their experience(s).
Thanks, I do grasp the concept of a user forum. The total lack of interest from Sling staff is still pretty sad though. TiVo Community, for example, has nothing to do with Tivo, Inc; but that doesn't prevent Tivo staff from frequently participating in threads. I'll draw my own conclusions about Sling and leave you to your denial.

O no, you got me all wrong....
I'm not in denial, it's just that you sounded like you were under the impression that this was a slingmedia owned forum
I am whole heartedly in agreement that their customer service ---well--sucks. It has been this way since Echostar/Dishnetwork bought them out.
Shameful company ethics......
Things like a 1 yr warranty that they start charging 29.95 per call in incident after the first 3 month...And thats even if their firmware "upgrades" snafu'd your unit..... Geesh.....
Ah, sorry to start out on the wrong foot then. My apologies! I must have been a little snappy when I posted my last reply.
I am assuming that this Mac upgrade is as bad as the recent PC upgrade which I had to uninstall as I couldn't get anything to work at all with the new version. (Still looking for a link to a UK version of the previous PC software version - Slingmedia will not provide one.)
If anyone can tell me that the Mac upgrade offers any kind of improvement (i.e. it works at all!!!) then I'd be interested to hear about it.
I am not holding my breath. : -(
